Layer Control Vs. Layers in Drawing Explorer
Not finding how to apply settings in Layers (drawing explorer) to Layer Control (layer fly menu).
For example - in drawing explorer, i set the filter to hide Xref layers, expecting them NOT to appear in Layer Control as well (but they do …. :-( )

Maybe something in the way your setting layer states.
Found this youtube go to about 1/2 way shows how to set up "layerstates", note hint command.
