Assembly parts not updating
Hi Everyone,
I'm having a very strange situation with assembly part update and looking for help.
I'm making an assembly of a boiler room (main assembly) in which inserting sub assemblies (pump skids). When I make changes to pump skids they are not updated/ reflected in main assembly. I've tried with update command but no effect. Now, when I delete pump skid from main assembly and try to insert it again BricsCAD inserts first design of pump skid and not the current one. Like it has saved it in its own memory somehow. Only way I've managed to insert new design of pump skid is when I save it under another name.
Any suggestions and solution please.
Thank you, Josip.

Bricscad keeps a copy of the inserted block in the main drawing assembly.
So even though you think you delete it from the drawing its still there in the background.
So go to type "Explorer" in the command-line then Blocks in the tree on the left, you should see the name of the block you inserted. Use BMINSERT for mechanical design.
You might want to insert as xref instead, then they should update correctly as its an external link not embedded in the file.

@Josip
Assemblies can have parts that are "internal" or "External". If parts are set to "internal" they won't update.
Select the part in the mechanical browser and select "Switch to External". Or use "Replace" to update the component.0 -
