Hatch Colour in xRef

Hi All,

When xref'ed, a hatch defaults to the 'ByLayer' colour rather than a specified colour in the original drawing. Does anyone know how to fix this besides putting the hatch on a new layer with the preferred colour set as 'ByLayer'?

Example attached. I have a hatch on a layer that is green, but hatch properties are colour 253. When I xref this drawing into another, the hatch views as green.

Thanks,

Ash

    Hello,

I could not reproduce this issue from scratch.

Which version of BricsCAD are you using? An update and a clean install might be useful.

A drawing where you can reproduce it would be helpful.

I suggest to create a support request regarding this issue if you can still reproduce it.

  • Hi Patricia,

Thanks for giving this one a crack for me!

Fortunately / unfortunately (depending on how you look at it) I cannot seem to reproduce. I might do a fresh install anyways, just because there have been a few oddities of late.

Interestingly this same parent drawing has multiple xrefs all viewing grey, despite there being no layer overrides. For funzies I changed the hatch to magenta in the xref and now it's viewing colour 253 in the parent drawing, so I think it's just corrupted.

I have copied everything into a new drawing and it all views fine (xrefs as well), so I will conclude that I broke it somehow, do a fresh install, and move on.

    Thanks!
