BricsCad for Mac seems to be a perpetual beta app.

Similar experience.
Freezing, Beachballs, not regularily closing, GUI issues, missing Windows feature parity,
not Apple ARM ready, no Metal support, …...And as it looks it is a bit worth on Linux with GUI issues.
It's a pity.
If you compare this to a flawlessly running Windows version.Such a great App.

100% in agreement I have to keep a PC just to run CAD and for no other reason.

I run my PC basically as a backup only,
so it usually is just OFF.
And it was built mainly as a testing device for Linux Distros,
on real hardware, as I was not very successful testing them on VMs.
So every few months I start it and update my Manjaro and ElementaryOS
(unfortunately I loose my Open Suse Tumbleweed with each ElementaryOS
upgrade and for now I gave it up)
and I also update Windows.
Which is what I am currently doing, trying to bring it to 24H2.
Let's cross Fingers that this upgrade attempt will not corrupt my Windows
installation or logs me out ….But before the Windows upgrade, I updated my Bricscads.
And funnily it did not work out well - even on Windows !?And each time I boot into Windows, I feel that I do not want to work with
