Import pattern
hi
Can hatch patterns be imported into BricsCAD from AutoCAD? My entire graphic chart was created in AutoCAD, and I would like to use the same hatch patterns. And the hatch patterns do not seem to be recognized in BricsCAD.

Hello.
The most basic way to import a hatch pattern is to use COPYCLIP in the source drawing and PASTECLIP in the target drawing.
Other than that, there is no standard tool to export a hatch pattern.
This task could be achieved by using a lisp script.
If this is something of interest, you could test the lisp script attached to the next post.
From my testing, the script there needs a few improvements to work fine.
I attached the version that I tested. To use the script, load it using APPLOAD, then run the GETPAT custom command.
The modified version will create a pat file in the folder where the drawing is located.
There is also the option to save multiple patterns in the same pat file, by using the Append option. After the pat file is saved, it needs to be placed in the support folder.
The path of the support folder of Bricscad v24 EN is:
C:\Users<User>\AppData\Roaming\Bricsys\BricsCAD\V24x64\en_US\SupportThen, restart Bricscad.
At this stage, the hatch patterns saved in the custom pat file should be available by choosing Custom in the Type drop-down in the Hatch and Gradient dialog box.0
