V25 Second Monitor Issue
I cannot get BricsCAD to run on a second monitor unless the second monitor is switched to "Make this my Main display" in Windows settings (Win 11).
I have a good laptop which does double duty as both field and desk computer (64 GB RAM, RTX 3080 GPU etc). I don't have this issue with any other software. If I open BricsCAD on the laptop and leave it there, no issues. As soon as I drag it to the larger monitor it wigs out and hangs and it won't respond. It only comes back by killing it in task manager.
V24 did not have this issue.
Any ideas?

What connection are you using, HDMI, DisplayPort or USB-C? Are you using a direct cable connection or a cable adapter (e.g. UBS-C to HDMI adapter vs USB-C to HDMI cable)?
With an older laptop I did have an issue with using certain port combinations and cable adaptors that would work only reliably in some specific combinations.
I'm using two external monitors with my current laptop with the laptop screen disabled and notice that unless I'm logged in into the main display the secondary monitor will not show anything when using a cable adapter for one of the monitors. Some programs however insist on showing up on the main monitor only when opening them but will work on the secondary monitor after moving it there.
It could be that something is not working perfectly with the graphics card signals that causes BricsCAD to trip up in your case. Are the graphics card driver updated to the latest version? I'm using the nVidia studio drivers and not the gaming drivers, if you are not using the studio drivers you my want to try that driver to see if it solves your problems. Studio drivers are tested for better stability than gaming drivers.
Did you try using a different laptop port or monitor input combination? Maybe this might solve the issue for now.

RSW: thanks for the guidance.
The quick answers. Using the HDMI out from the RTX 3080 card, NVIDIA studio driver (updated), no adaptors being used. I'm stymied… tried every combination I can think of.
The other really odd thing is that the 'ghost' of the command line after executing a command with lots of options runs off the page onto the bare monitor screen before fading.
I'll keep working on it. It isn't unuseable if I make the external monitor my main screen but re-arranging desktop shortcuts/folders is a pain..
