I tried converting the bak file, but only the insert block is visible. |

"After importing a block i can't see the rest of my .dwg." Sounds like the block is not relative to say 0,0 but way different, try select from other dwg Ctrl+c then go to your dwg and use Paste to Original co-ordinates. If the 2 dwgs have similar co-ords should work.
Even same Ctrl+c then Paste pick a point near your current dwg objects.

In addition to what Alan posted this could be a scaling issue. Are you sure that the scaling of the block matches the scaling of your drawing?

Hi I'm back,
Thanks for the insites. I could't test the above in the issue drawing. I did the above in another drawing and had no issue. I always make my blocks in 1:1 and at the end pick a left/ centre corner and move to 0,0,0 coordinates. Though the blocks are always made in 1:1 scale, mostly my other drawing are set to 1:100, but have no issues with importing a block, except for this time. I think I bumped a key accidentally trying to work fast for the deadline.
In the end I got my .SV$ file from the drawing, made the recover and made the deadline with a photo finish ..fffhhh.
Cheers,
