Plan region?
Hello.
At a store in my BIM model I have one window with sill height of 1800mm. The horizontal floorplan section has to be at 1200mm. Is it possible to create a local horizontal section at 2000mm around this window so that it will be shown in the created floorplan sheet?
I am comming from Revit and there is a "Plan region" used for this.
Thanks

Hello.
The Plan Region feature is not available in Bricscad.
You could experiment with creating a separate boundary section to include only the window and, maybe, some reference objects around it.

I have one window with sill height of 1800mm. The horizontal floorplan section has to be at 1200mm.
So there should be no visible opening cut in the Wall but only a dashed or dotted (?) representation of the Window on top (?)
Something Bricscad does not automate. So something that needs to be drawn manually and added in Annotation Space or in a 2D Annotation Layer (?)0 -
Logically it should be drawn with dash-dotted line (in my country). But for practical reasons it´s better to draw the window as it is so that the workers don´t forget to build the opening for the window...

😁
I had a similar Situation, 2 overhead windows.
But in that case I was able to set my cut height to 1,90 m, as it made no difference for everything else in top plan.0 -
For now we recommend to combine 2 section planes if you want full control over 'cut away geometry'.
one section type 'plan view' and one 'reflected ceiling plan'. In the modelspace of the result sheet, you put the 2 section result blocks on top of each other.
The reflected ceiling plan gives you full control on how geometry looks above the section plane. (you can set the layer prefixes different in drawing explorer / section planes)
If this is an important workflow for you, could you please create a support request? This way it gets more weight in our system!

Sorry, I am new to this forum, how can I create it as support request?

If you start your V25, in Welcome Screen, at the bottom of the right info column, "Need help", there is a "File a Support Request" link.
