Turn rubberband selection off

Apologies if this is very basic but how do you turn the rubberband object selection to a window style selection mode? In the "Settings" menu under "Selection" there are lots of variables to change various things but not to change to a window selection / turn rubberband off.

I'm sure this is easy when you know how.

Do you mean the "Lasso" style ?
