If its struggling at the volume of pdf's maybe do say layer A* say it makes 10 pdfs join them into AFULL.pdf, delete old pdf's do B C etc so then do again join A B C D →Z into one pdf.

Yes, it is a possibility, but the question is whether it is worth the trouble? This is only a backup solution if the regular method somehow does not work. An advantage of this LISP is that it can be run with a standalone session of Bricscad. Other options require that another application is started, and that Bricscad is run from it.
It is not the number of files that is the main problem, it is the text string that becomes too long with many files. Selecting 359 files and then choosing to use "Send To" PDFArranger works..
