Hello.
In Bricscad, FIND is limited to the current drawing.
If using lisp is being considered, then something worth investigating could be the solution from Lee Mac.
using CTRL+F inside xref'd drawings
Is there any way to use the search function in a drawing that has multiple xref's in it?
The reason I ask is that we have a project at hand where we need to have a whole bunch of drawings by means of xref added to it. All the sub-drawings(=xref) are still work in progress and actively modified. It would be very beneficial if the overview drawing could be searched (tags) without having to constantly opening up all the sub-drawings to try to find the one tag in the one drawing.
I would think that either I'm overlooking something or that at least someone has a LISP routine that does that but so far I haven't found any solution.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards
Peter

There's a hundred useful functions that don't work with blocks or Xrefs, until opened in Refedit, or even then … just recently they've withdrawn the ability to Hide/Unhide any element that forms part of a block or Xref - has destroyed my workflow.

Cheers. Not what I need for the problem at hand but one of Lee Mac's routines that I never looked into and that might be very useful for other issues.
