Open doors?
Is it possible to open the inserted BIM-doors?
A customer wants a 3D floorplan for its Building Management System and we already have a BIM-model of the floors, but visually it will look better with open doors than everything closed.

You can edit the door component. Or even you can set if it is opened or closed. Watch the tutorials on youtube - there are some regarding creating windows, but the principle is the same.

I will look into editing components, couldnt find too much on the topic. I cannot see a way to set an existing dor as "open" in a drawing.

I have added a rotation operation to the door blade, but will not move when modified because the blade is consrained by other constraints. If I disable all other constrains, it works nicely, but it will probably cause other problems.
How can see the constrains used on a solid to see if I can change anything? The only way I`ve found is to right-click a constraint and select Select Geometry.
And what is the key difference between the Mechanical Browser and Parameters Manager when it comes to adjusting the constraints and operations?

After some fidling around I managed to familiarize myself with what the different constraints did within the existing Door component, it was easiest to do this within the Mechanical Browser.
Some constraints was removed wich prevented the rotation of the solid for the door panel, this caused the panel width to not follow if the door width was changed.
Then I added a Distance constraint to keep the panel width the same as the total door width, minus two frame thicknesses so that it adapts to different door sizes.
It now works as I wished for, the door opening can be changed.
