Lost toolbars

I work almost entirely with toolbars, most of them customised to some degree to suit the work I do, I use two screens, but recently I added a third to see if it might be useful. I thought it might be a useful scratch pad area for CAD work. It wasn't, and it completely scrambled all my desktop items - took ages to get them straight again even using DesktopOK. Now I find that some toolbars which are listed as being ON are not visible. I think they have remained on the third screen, which isn't there. How can I get them back into my visible working area without plugging the third screen in and wrecking everything again? I've tried specifying the toolbar positions in the Customising panel, but it has no effect.

Any ideas?

  • Hello.

You could experiment with using the -TOOLBAR command.
This command can reposition a toolbar to the specified place.
However, it works with either one toolbar or all of them.

    For instance:
    -TOOLBAR > Boundaries > Left > 0,0

This should place (dock) the Boundaries toolbar to the left of the Bricscad window.

  • Yes, that works, but I found that for longer toolbar names such as Design Intent I had to put the name in quotations, so "design intent".

So now I can recover the missing ones. It also gives me ideas for popping in toolbars as needed from time to time.

    Thanks Virgil!
