Import parametric behavior of components
Imports parametric windows and doors from the IFC file as parametric components in BricsCAD.
And how to I use it ?
To be sure that it would work and not fail because of other BIM App's IFC export quality, I exported an IFC 4x3 from Bricscad itself. Beside the project containing mostly 15 year old legacy IFC 2x3 imported Windows and Doors from Archicad, I created a Test Wall where I inserted V25 Doors and Windows.
But when I reimport the IFC 4x3, former native Bricscad V25 (standard and advanced) inserted Doors and Windows, offer a whole bunch of "Component Parameters" in Properties. (Most are empty).
But when I try to edit Width or Height - beside changing the numbers in Properties - nothing changes for the geometry. Basically the same result as if I would try to edit parametres of those olde 2x3 Archicad Windows or Doors from 2010.
The only thing I can do with Bricscad's WindowsDoors is BIMFLIP …..
What am I doing wrong ?
