  • Hello.

The layer control from the ribbon has, indeed, some limitations.
This topic is currently under investigation.

Something of interest could be to use one of the Access or Access 3D toolbars.
Each of these has a layer control on it.

The toolbar layer control works fine with typing a few letters and pressing ENTER - the selected layer is set current.

  • Hi, tnx for answer. Please is it possible to find layer with first latter on this part in attachment?

  • But all the layers in that attachment have the same first letter. In fact, they all have the same first 2 letters. Many have the same first 5 or 10 letters.

Wouldn't it be easier to use LAYMCUR, and just pick something that's on the layer you want?

  • In a package I have, we draw objects but they are on correct layers so the layer is preset then object drawn.

We use a menu that has the objects as an example is a house wall that has 4 lines, each line is on its own preset layer, a check is done for does layer exist if not make it.

In your image it looks like road design so I use Civil Site Design running within Bricscad, it has layers preset, but you can set them up to what layers you want.Do it once and every dwg is correct for the Civil side of a project.
