I would do the 3D modeling/editing completely different ……
- Select 3D Face
- PushPull from QUAD
(PushPull's DYNDIM will by default use that Face as the reference/origin to start desired distance input) - Hover Cursor over the 3D Solid's Face you want to start measurement from
- Press TAB to select that Face, which highlights blue and is now the new origin for PushPull's distance input
(If that Face is occluded by other Faces, repeat pressing TAB key to cycle through all Faces under cursor until your desired "starting" Face is highlighted) - Drag Cursor in wanted direction
(To not may possibly need to input negative numbers) - Enter your desired distance in DYNDIM number input > ENTER
(here 100 mm)
If I would drag the Face using Manipulator, in case it has no option to change to another center for relative input (?), I would instead just drag the Face to to that available snap point as a first step and restarting Manipulator again to finally add the relative distance of 100 mm.
Sounds tedious but avoids the need to think much about it.

Bonjour,
Merci @zoomer cela fonctionne avec votre méthode.

The above workflow was Bricscad's pure "3D Direct Modeling". With its brilliant feature set, from years ago when Bricscad was still young and there was not yet any BIM included.
Another option ….. (At least since V26 ?)
If you select two Faces of two Solids, you will get a DYNDIM between both Faces showing the distance between them. You can edit that distance and Bricscad will move the - the last (*) selected Face !
So you could ….
- Select your reference Face
- Hold SHIFT and click on the Face you want to edit, to add it to the Selection
- The DYNDIM shows the current distance between reference Face and Face to move
- The distance value is already highlighted, so you can type negative 100 mm (- 100) and press ENTER
This should move your Face relative from the reference Face, in the desired direction.
So previous Faces distance + desired extra distance.(*) I still think DYNDIM between two Faces (great in itself), works in the wrong way when used to move Faces (or Solids when in Object Selection Mode)
I always work/think like …. move this (1st) Object, from there (2nd) Object, to that new distance.
(Not, move - from here - that Object - that distance …)0 -
Merci pour les infos
Sur la V25 que je teste il ne faut pas utiliser MAJ, il suffit de sélectionner la 1ere puis la seconde face pour voir apparaitre la cote.
Merci encore!
