Dimensions are being multiplied by 8
Hello,
I'm using an older version of Bricscad: V21.02.7. I haven't used it in a while. But I'm working on a simple drawing and when I add dimensions the values are multiplied by 8! In the attached drawing the object is approximately 6' x 3'. It is also difficult to apply the correct annotation scale to the dimension object; it keeps reverting to 1:1. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Dim Scale Linear is set to 8 in your Dimstyle.
Some one else annotation problem.

Ah, the old 6ft x 4ft model railway table from when I was 15 - used to be made of 2" x 1" timbers halved together with a wood softboard deck. Now apparently reduced to 6ft x 3ft - because typical scale is now smaller than UK double-O (4mm:1ft = 1:76 - still used for Airfix kits) or US/Eur half-O (3.5mm=1ft = 1:87 - O's 1:43 still used for Dinky cars)? I used newly-invented TT (3mm:1ft = 1:102), and subsequently realised I built an Architectural career at that old familiar 1:100 scale!

Thank you so much for your quick response! I checked DIMSCALE, but is "dimscale linear" a distinct sysvar? I'll take a look.
Tom, nice to see your comments on the train table! I'm retired now, hence the older version of Bricscad, and finally getting around to building a layout. I'm tight on space in my house so going the N scale route: 1:160. I think I can make it work on a 6' x 3'. I'm using SCARM to design the track plan. As usual for me, I think I'm making both more complicated than needs be! Anyway, enjoyed your comment, best wishes!

SCARM eh? Assembling straights, larger and smaller radius curves, points etc taught me a great deal about tangents and sectors etc, at an early age. Just like struggling to understand the new controllers, where you could set rate of acceleration instead of just speed, set me up for differential calculus, and I remember puzzling a lot about how the electrons knew which way to go to get back to where they started!
