Problem with Thicken command

I quite often use thicken command to create solids from surfaces. Bricscad tries to simulate final shape, based on mouse movement, without picking final point. For simple surfaces usually there is no problem, but for more complex ones e.g. patches of hull form, this causes that program stalls. In my opinion simple arrows showing direction of surface extrusion (like it was implemented in ACAD) would be much more effective.

Something to be aware of are corners/bends. If the thicken command exceeds the internal radius of the corner/bend it may fail.

Arrows indicating the normal of surfaces would definitely be useful in case adjacent surfaces have opposite normals.
