BRICSCAD Civils - Creating Long Sections

We are newbies to BRICSCAD. We are trying to create a simple long section along a polyline using alignmentview command. We have successfully imported our tin surface of the road. We have drawn a 3d polyline on it which represents the visibility available for drivers along the road. We can create the long section along the 3d polyline (used as a reference) but want to show the 3d polyline on the long section with chainages and heights between the 3d polyline and the tin surface. Can anyone provide an idiot proof set of instructions? So much easier in Autocad!

"So much easier in Autocad!" making long sections is not part of plain Autocad, but yes it is part of CIV3D, a big difference.
