Topo profile method

Hello,

I am stuck on creating a longitudinal profile for a cable car path in BricsCAD.

I have imported my TIN surface, my LAS point cloud, and my TIFF orthophoto. How can I cleanly extract the vertical cross-section of the terrain along this specific alignment?

Thank you for your feedback and advice.

Best regards,

  • Hello.

You could experiment with using a certain reference system and position all data sources relatively to one another.

Then, a horizontal alignment can be created starting from the orthophoto.

The next step would be to create a 3D alignment based on the horizontal alignment and the TIN surface.

Finally, creating a vertical alignment view will display the vertical alignment.

  • "You could experiment with using a certain reference system and position all data sources relatively to one another." That is already the case.
I have drawn the track ropes and haul ropes as geospatial polylines based on the point cloud, but when I run the longitudinal profile command, only the TIN model is taken into account. I need the cable car components (station, cables, pylon) to appear.
