BricsCAD BIM vs REVIT in AI times
Hi; advice needed.
I am deciding between going into BricsCAD BIM vs learning Revit.
A year ago, when I had few good experiences with AI, I'd say Revit 100%.
Now - having Claude drawing in my BricsCAD Pro and seeing it automating anything, I'm thinking of going the "cheaper" way with BCAD.
Some context; I am designing pro kitchens and restaurants and things around that. And I really need to move from 2D layouts into 3D, without the pain of using basic, clumsy 3D-modeller (BricsCAD falls in that category in my opinion), and of course I need to implement the BIM in the process and input/output.
I don't need to design the whole buildings; I just need to be able to import the building model (usually built in Revit these days), put my things into it, and then hand it back again over to the guys designing the building (with some client presentation rounds in between, which have to go really smoothly).
BTW I am able to delegate some more sofiticated 3D-modelling to an "external" app like Rhino etc.
What are your thoughts on this?
Can you guys compare (from you own experience) automation in BricsCAD BIM and in Revit, using agentic AI as the major or secondary interface?
