4.1.0032 - Buggy
I just downloaded the latest update to Intellicad and found a bug that makes it unusable for us at this time. Some of our drawings will not load in the new version and cause the program to crash. I've sent a sample to Bricscad for their review. Also, when you try to attach an XREF, nothing happens until you close the XRM dialog window - and then the XREF suddenly appears. This is workable, but not the way it is supposed to work. There are still problems with long lines of TrueType text using the text fit justification.

we probably found the problem that you describe , some drawings refusing to load. We can't reproduce the problem in our released build, but we can in a debug build. That means the same drawing will load on some machines and not on other machines. We'll make a fix for this available asap. xrm: before you insert the attached xref in the drawing, it will not show in the xrm dialogs list. That is as designed. But the sequence of placing the insert(selecting a point in the drawing) and listing the xrefs was reversed. So the list of list of attachments shows too early. We 'll fix that .text fit justification: we can reproduce a small oversizing problem. It's small so we're not sure it's the same problem that you get. Maybe you could send us a picture of the result?regards,Alexander Van Heuverzwyn

Regarding the text fit problem - I already sent an example drawing file to Bricscad on 3/19/04, but never received a response from them. Do you want me to send it again to Bricscad Support or do you have an address I can send it to directly?

We have the drawing, but can you send us a picture? On our side the drawing looks ok. I suspect that the display we're getting is not the same as the one you're getting. sander, Bricscad

I got it. The picture was very interesting. The problem occurs on windows 98 , but not on 2000 or XP.On 98 the text fitting can be completely ignored in some cases. We'll look into itsander, Bricscad

That's Great! It's interesting to note that the plot is exactly the same as the screen shot from Win98.

I just downloaded ver. 4.1.0036, and the TEXT FIT option for TrueType fonts still does not work on my Win98 computer!
