Probably there is some form of corruption in the blocks. Did you already check using recover? If the problem persists, please enter a support request to which an example block and parent drawing is attached, as well as the command options that we should use during insertion. We will then gladly investigate for you what goes wrong.Kind regards,Hans De Backer

Please don't make it sound like this occurs for every user who inserts a block, it doesn't. That's why we need the specific drawing into which you insert the blocks( even if it's an 'empty' template), the block, and a step by step description of the command options used during insertion of the block. We then will do the best we can to solve the problem asap.

Open a empty template without any layers. then use the insert block flyout menu- insert block browse to the directory where the block is then select the dwg en push insert. the next thing that happens is a request of saving current drawing, and than it is closing down including bricscadWe are using Bricscad V6 with four people here in the office and having the same problem over and over again.we have trided alot of things, closing all sorts of programs that were running etc.etc NO SUCCES AT AL!!

Just how stubborn can you be...This is the 3rd time (and the last time) I kindly ask you to enter a support request for this. Why?You still seem convinced that there is such a thing as an empty template, well, there isn't... There are only 'empty' templates, that is, they look empty because they usually contain no graphical entities, BUT, they contain hundreds of other entities like setting variables, tables, dictionaries and so on. WE REALLY NEED IT to reproduce what you describe, because with our template it doesn't happen, believe me, else I wouldn't waste my time writing this response.Just as well as we need the build nr that you use, e.g. V6.0.0007, because there is no such thing as 'THE' V6 version.Just as well as we need one of the blocks that you insert.Without this information we're just wasting the time that we would love to use to improve the application.Hope you understand.

We investigated the block and ran Recover on it (as suggested in my first response). The file indeed contains 3 serious errors. After recovering the crash no longer occurs. What an utterly sad waste of beautiful, beautiful time... FYI, the recover report:Drawing name: C:\BricsCad\Users\Amels-Holland\7612\block.dwgRecover dwg file.Total objects in the handle table found 228.Loaded objects 228 (with errors 0).
