Deleting Vertexes on Polylines

This might be a stupid question.How do you do it. I go to edit polyline, edit vertices but do not see a delete optionThanksJohn

    Something I've done is explode the polyline and then delete individual vertices which don't conform to the shape I want for a closed polyline. I then re-draft the vertices and re-close the shape I want and adjust widths (thickness) and so on using the edit polyline command. This works for pond and landscape edges; I don't know if this would help for complex engineered shapes.

    HiYou have to use the Straighten option from edit vertex in pedit.just use this option and pre-select the previous and next vertex , then Go. the vertex in between will be deleted.AR
