Printing - Paper size changes when toggling from Portrait to landscape
This is wierd, just started with Version 6. Printing landscape irrigation plans to an HP 500 plotter. As most plans change size ( at 1=10 or 1=20) according to the area of the lot, we try to use the best ANSI size to conserve paper. For instance, lets say that a give design fits on ANSI B portrait, but would fit better (use less rool paper) in a Landscape mode. So you click Landscape, hit print preview, and the setup has shifted to ANSI C....and will NOT let you drop back to ANSI B.Any ideas? Perhaps it's a hardware issue, but it worked fine prior to upgrading BCad. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

i doubt if it's a hardware issue. We downloaded the drivers from HP and will try to reproduce it here. Are you using the printer or a pc3?Please clarify what you mean by "the setup will not let you drop back"? The papersize combo stops working? No changes to the combo are accepted? Changes are accepted but not to ANSI B? Changes to ANSI B are only accepted when you switch back to portrait?kind regards,Alexander Van HeuverzwynBricscad

"Good question...I can pull down the menu and reselect Ansi B, but as soon as I go to Print Preview, it has changed to the next larger size. ANd It seems that switching back to Portrait does not always work (sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't)And thanks for the quick responce!

6.2.0002Papersize does not save correctly in PC3 file. My canon driver jumps to A4 all the time even if its saved as A2 in the PC3. When I jump to the Epson a4 driver it doesnt change papersize either. This has never been the case before.

Bringing this up again as I think its annoying that the print setup is NOT stored with the drawing.Every time you print it keeps the last used setup. If I change PCP and PC3 WHY doesnt it store papersize properly.Preferably the PC3 file should store ALL values in the dialogbox as they are when I hit save. I would rahter have a few PC3 files for different printouts.Today you always have to doublecheck.Im I the only one that feels this way?Patrik
