Bricscad on Suse 9.2?

I note the latest linux version is supposed to work under Suse 9.3. Does anyone have experience of running it on 9.2 as I'm not keen on upgrading for a while - the last demo I d/l-ed is asking for a licence key.Andy

  • To follow up...It doesn't work under the version of Wine supplied with 9.2, however it does with the latest Suse 9.2 version from winehq

  • We haven't tried Suse 9.2, though we tired Suse 9.0 with the early versions. We got Bricscad to work there by adding a binary glu32.dll.so. Concerning licensekeys: Wine keeps the registry of different users completely separate. That includes the system.reg file of the root user that does the install. This root user has the trial key. If you copy the /root/.wine/system.reg file to the current user(/home/username/.wine/system.reg), the trial key should be available.

  • Still running well on Suse 9.2.Sorry, I must admit to missing the root user/licence key text on both the web pages and the readme until after I'd received a new key. :(
