Version 6.2.0006 Dimensioning

When we use the dimensioning tool more than once the icad.exe uses 100% cpu, and hangs there.Anyone seen that in the latest version 6.2.006?

  • I had the same problem when drawing simple lines, and now I could reproduce it with dimensioning. There seems to be something wrong with the Snap Trak, as I turned it off and now everything works fine (knock on wood !).

  • I reproduced a hangup with just perpendicular snap active, and snap tracking on:.(setvar "osmode" 128) ;for perpendicular snap(command "_dimlinear" "0,0" "10,0" "5,5")(command "_dimlinear" "2,3" "10,3" PAUSE)The command waits for a point to finish placement of the dimension.Hover over 10,3 till the perpendicular snap and snap track marker show. Then click on 5,10(empty space). There is a serious hangup .Make sure icad.exe is highlighted in the taskmanager before you try this.I have not succeeded yet in causing a hangup with a line command, or with other snap options than perpendicular. Extra details are very welcome. This hangup gets fixed with priority of course.Alexander Van Heuverzwyn,Bricscad

  • A scenario for hangup with just lines, snaptrack, and perpendicular snap: Start line command and draw a few lines. If after clicking for a point, the markers for perp(L sign) and for snap track(+ sign) are active in that point, and if i move in such a way that these markers do not change, then the next click hangs the program. It seems that at the moment, snap track and perpendicular snap do not combine well.Alexander Van HeuverzwynBricscad

  • Hello AlexanderYour scenario with the lines, describes pretty much exactly, what happened to me. I used the perpendicular snap in combination with others, but the "result" is the same. No problems though when perpend snap is off.Cheers

  • We released an update v6-2-0010 that fixes the hangup with snaptrack + perpendicular snap. Hangups were possible with tangent snap too. That's covered with the same fix.Alexander Van Heuverzwynbricscad
