3d novice

I'm a draftsman for a company that manufacturespressure vessels (cylinder tanks w/ flanged connections)and would like to start drawing these tanks in 3D. Maybesomeone could help with the following questions:1. Is Bricscad equiped to do this?2. Are there any books/publications to help me get started?3. If Bricscad is not practical then what reasonably priced program (say less than Acad) would do the job? Thanks for any and all input.

  • Check out the alibre web site (free 3D program download) and purchase the book 3D Modeling in AutoCAD by Wilson. This is an excellent resource for the 3d commands and will work for Bricscad applications. The book also has some great introductory lessons on rendering.
