XRef Draw Order Not Honored

I have a drawing that I want to XRef. However, when I Xref it the draw order is not maintained in the Target drawing (for example a cyan hatch which is behind a gravel hatch in the source drawing will be in front of the gravel hatch in the target drawing). Any way to correct?

  • Support for draworder in Xrefs was added quite recently (starting from V6.2.0018), so the first thing to check is the BricsCad version number, displayed in the 'About' dialog. If your version is 6.2.0018 or more recent, this would indicate a bug and we would appreciate if you could enter a support request for this issue and attach the drawings that illustrate the problem.Kind regards,Hans De BackerBricsCad Development

  • Also make sure that the system variable "SORTENTS" is set at 127.This needs to be set in every drawing, as it is not a system wide variable. Also there is a bug that I have submitted about the draw order inside of xref where it does not hold if the lines are hidden. Suppose to be fixed soon.James

  • Sorry wrong name in the field for the above response for some reason.James

  • James:Thank you!! I think part of my problem with using this product is that I do NOT know the system variables and they do not appear to be very well documented (in "Help"). Don't you think the documentation on "SORTENTS" should describe what the values do a little more?Hans:I appreciate the fact that you guys are working so hard to make a great product (in fact, we just purchased another license). Keep up the great work!
