trim question

What I'm trying to do is trim a circle that has been rotatedusing the 3d rotate command. I know if I try to trim it by aline segment on a different plane it won't do it in Bricscadbut it would in AcadR13. If anyone knows how to do thisplease clue me in it would greatly be appreciated.

  • Do the following: when in the trim command, choose the PROJECTION option, then choose UCS or VIEW.

  • No luck I'm afraid. Anyone that wants to try this haveat it. Draw a circle then use the rotate3d commandwith x plane option and rotate it 30 degrees. Nowcopy the circle 1" above the original. Now try totrim the copy by the original. I can't do it.

  • Did you check the PROJECTION MODE? If NO PROJECTION is chosen such trim cannot be performed indeed. I tried both other options: XY-plane of current UCS and View and both work!
