Bricscad Developer

As a Bricscad Developer, for the last year I have been trying unsuccessfully to port an A cad app to Bricscad. Support people discard my requests for help because they don't support Delphi. 10 years successfully developing with Delphi I'm not about to start using VB.What file does VB USE where Delphi uses ICadAuto.dll 7.0.7.0Is there anytbody out there who can help or do I finally have to bend over for Auto**** and accept their AutoC*D OEM deal

  • VB indeed actually uses this IcadAuto.dll: this is the file a VB programmer sets a 'reference' to (as one of the object libraries his program uses). The version number of the IcadAuto.dll usually follows the version number of the app, so it looks like your current BricsCad installation is V7.0.0007.It is not because we have no Delphi experts that we're not dedicated to support application developers: besides the COM API and the embedded VBA IDE, BricsCad also supports the LISP, DCL, and SDS API's, and we are working hard to add ARX to this list in the coming months, as well as DIESEL, as well as extending LISP with the VLA and VLAX families of functions, and providing a new COM API with a completely reworked object model to strongly reduce the porting effort of applications. But indeed, we unfortunately don't have the expertise to provide Delphi-specific help, which is frustrating.Best regards,Hans De Backer
