HP Plotting
With working in BricsCAD I've seen a ton of issues associated with HP plotters ( so far the 120nr, the 755CM, and to a lesser degree, the 800 PS 42).Is anyone else having problems with their drawings being offset by a couple units? I’ve noticed that BricsCAD’s “paper” background accurately represents where the paper outline actually is, but whenever someone tries page setup and “extents” or “window” it’ll size the drawing correctly, but nudge it over a few units. This only seems to be an issue since BricsCAD made the paper background. The work around right now is to move the drawing onto the "paper" after page setup , and just using the print command from there.Becky LammEagle Point Software

I have an HP DesignJet 500 and the plot configuration parameters don't allow printing on a 2'x3' (24"x36") sheet. I have contacted tech support several times and the problem is still unresolved. They sent a *.pc3 file (plot file) but the Bricscad default of 22"x 34" always overrides any custom settings I've made. The "offset" problem is another issue I voiced to Bricscad and expressed that checking 'center' doesn't resolve discrepancy between Print Preview and printed drawing......... They're having their developers look at resolving these issues in future up dates.

We are indeed working on the mentioned issues. - there can be an offset upon creation of the layout between the papersheet and the drawing. The offset does not occur when printing upside down (which is set in the layout). The user has to compensate for that offset. This should not be necessary.- HP designjet drivers offer 5 customsizes. Apparently the first of the five custom sizes is ignored for certain values. 'HP designjet 500 42' does not have this problem.Kind regards,Alexander Van Heuverzwyn, Bricscad

I have a similar offset problem when plotting to an HP DesignJet 600. Plots layouts just fine when "Plot Upside Down" is checked, but plots about 2.5 inches offset horizontally otherwise. At least it's an easy work-around.
