Dimension Entities - compatibility with ACAD

I just downloaded 2.2.0019 to see if the problem with dimensions decsribed in my earlier post (copy see below) is sorted out. Unfortunately it is NOT. So I have the following questions:1. Is there any workaround?2. What are the chances to have the bug removed in near future? (I'm considering some CAD investment for our company quite soon and this kind of bug unfortunately disqualifies ICAD :-((( )Copy of my earlier post which I can't see on the forum any more.:To see the problem in action you can look at http://www.volny.cz/v.kvasnicka/ICAD2k/Author: Vaclav Kvasnicka Date: 01-10-01 05:38Evaluating Bricsnet IntelliCAD 2000 (2.1.0014), I found the following strange behaviour: I have a DWG file created in ACAD R13 - plan with active local UCS. In this UCS several HORIZONTAL dimensions were created. LIST command gives the same under ACAD R13, LT97 and ACAD2000 - see below (my notes are in [] brackets): ********************************************************************* AutoCAD 13, AutoCAD LT97: ********************************************************************* Command: li LIST Select objects: 1 found Select objects: DIMENSION Layer: 025 Space: Model space Handle = 97D type: horizontal [YES, as expected] 1st extension defining point: X= 22.7705 Y= -1.5500 Z= 0.0000 2nd extension defining point: X= 21.2705 Y= -1.5500 Z= 0.0000 dimension line defining point: X= 21.2705 Y= -2.0918 Z= 0.0000 default text position: X= 22.0205 Y= -1.9793 Z= 0.0000 default text dimension style: CC dimension style overrides: DIMFIT 4 DIMSCALE 0.5000 DIMSE1 On DIMTXT 0.2500 When I open this file in ICAD 2000 (both Bricsnet and CADopia), LIST command gives a different result - note the 'rotated' type: ********************************************************************* Bricsnet IntelliCAD 2000, CADopia IntelliCAD 2000: ********************************************************************* : li ---------- Rotated Dimension ---------------- [*** ??? ***] Handle: 97D Current space: Model Layer: 025 Color: 256 (BYLAYER) Linetype: ByLayer Dimension style: CC Dim definition point: X= 21.2705 Y= -2.0918 Z= 0.0000 Dim Text point: X= 22.0205 Y= -1.9793 Z= 0.0000 2nd Dim definition point: X= 22.7705 Y= -1.5500 Z= 0.0000 1st Dim definition point: X= 21.2705 Y= -1.5500 Z= 0.0000 Dimension angle: 196.2301g Rotation Angle: 3.0824 Text: As measured Altered variables: DIMTXT: 0.25 DIMSE1: 1 DIMSCALE: 0.5 DIMFIT: 4 The dimension appears correct at first. BUT as soon as I do DDIM command (or DIM UPDATE), the dimensions get rotated and their dimension texts change! This happens also when I 'Cancel' the DDIM dialog without applying any changes. Is this a known issue? ICAD would be hardly usable in a mixed ICAD/ACAD environment with this bug. Vaclav Kvasnicka
