Layout entities go missing

I have developed a LISP program that creates a series of drawings in model space and scales the 3 vports in 3 paperspace layouts. The application works great... However, about half the time all entities in 1 of the 3 layouts go missing after some additional (un-automatable) drafting is completed in model space. The layout that goes missing is not consistently the same one. I've tried many different things to fix this problem, however none have worked. The intial template file consists of an empty model space and 3 paperspace layouts with a "premade" form in each. Each of the forms consists entirely of mtext, text, pline, line & vport entities. The LISP program prints text to the forms in each layout and adjusts the vports based on the user defined scales. I've audited the template file in AutoCAD LT, but there are no issues. I'm using v6.2.0024 BricsCAD ProPlease Help, Steve

  • I have had that in the past and Acad users have had it with my drawings. It needed no great involved procedure to make it happen. All I can say is I haven't had the problem with V7.

  • Thanks for the info, I though this might be the case. i developed a printing function do deal with multiple windows to deal with it... so thanks

  • ...that is to say the problem has not been noticed with v7. I tested a couple with Acad users who had had trouble in the past.I fairly recently sent a file from v6 to a (non Bricscad) v4 user who could see ps vport contents until he saved the files in v4, then all the contents disappeared.
