Images

I have received some files which open with the message "image cannot be found". I guess an image is linked and they forgot to send it, it's not important to see the image but is there a way to detach, unload or delete it while it cannot be seen? (nor can I see the frame) These dwgs take forever to print and I suppose the attached but missing images are the cause.Hope someone can help.

  • ...actually everything takes forever to print since I updated to 7.1.0011. Does anyone else have this problem?

  • Have you tried switching between the Adeko and the Hitachi rastering engine in the Tools...Display dialog ( After switching this setting, the program must be restarted.)It would be helpful to know if this influences the slowdown you experience.Further, you could try upgrading to 7.1.0012, which contains a print fix for dashed lines.

  • I had tried 7.1.0012 and printing was still slow. Speed was a problem printing the file with missing objects and also files with objects included, on 2 different printers (Brother & HP).I uninstalled and went back to 7.0.0008 (thought I had 7.0.0010 but can't find it) - it prints perfectly.Had not tried switching the rastering engine, is that a known cause of slow printing? (this was painfully slow).

  • Please attach one of these files to a Support Request and specify the printer driver and version you used when experiencing this slowdown in 7.1.0011 versus 7.0.0008. Please also include any ctb, stb or pc3 file that was used. We will be glad to investigate and correct this undesirable behavior.

  • We have noticed a big slow down in printing also. Particularly when we us a lot of viewports in paper space for different details at different scales. The raster images do slow us down a little when they have larger file sizes and can even run our printer out of memory when using the Window print driver, but our print speed seems to be more related to the number of viewports we have on our page. Especially when we have a large drawing in the model space.
