can't set template file

The template file is not accepted in V8.I have set the settings->program options->files->templatesBut i can't start with my own template file withoutopen it as a normal drawing. HJ

    The field Template [Settings>Programoptions>Files->Templates] should hold a full path to your template dwg.If you enter : 'mytemplate.dwg' in the Template field, the template will not be found and will be ignored (Leading you state that the Template is not accepted)Whereas if you enter : 'C:\folder1\a\bb\ccc\mytemplate.dwg' the template will be found and used.I agree the User Interface can be confusing here because:1. the field is empty by default. 2. the field just below indicates the Template Path which may seem to imply that only the file name is needed in the Template field above? I have asked our developpers to add a browse button [...] into this 'Template' field (similar to the one found just below in the 'Template path' field). After using this browse button the template field will hold a fully qualified path (asexpected by the UI ...=) )
