Display of XREF in AutoCAD when XCLIP used

I have drawings that I XCLIP the XREF in Bricscad. The drawing looks fine in Bricscad. When opened in AutoCAD LT 2005 the XREF does not display.If I remove the XCLIP, XREF will display fine in AutoCAD.

    Autocad users were having that issue with my drawings round about v4/5 (not Bricscad, another brand), but I thought the problem had gone away.I have not seen it for a long time.
