Hatch not showing up on monitor

Bricscad V8.18 - I've been trying to perform entity hatches - I go through the process of idewntifying the hatch I want and picking the entity but the pattern does not show up. I've had to go back to V7 to complete my hatches and I don't have a problem there. When I open the hatchwork completed in V7 into V8 the hatches all disappear. Has any one else had this problem? or is something turned off in V8?

    I can only say I have not had a hatch problem in V8.

    Are your hatches particularly large or dense?If so, try typing MAXHATCH (in V8) and then set it as double the default number. Then regen.

    Sounds like FILLMODE is set to 'Off' (0).In V7 FILLMODE was not obeyed for hatches, in V8 this has been corrected, so if FILLMODE is Off, no hatches will be displayed. To display the hatches, switch on FILLMODE and execute a REGEN.

    Thanks Hans. That resolved the problem. My hatches now show up in version 8.
