hardware
Hi,what is the most important in hardware for bricscad? Processor - dual core, intel, athlon? RAM - size or speed? Graphic card - SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 2900Pro 512MB DDR3 DUAL DVI TVO - is this enough? Are there any technologies that are issue for hi efficiency? Anything special i should have?

Beyond very basic drafting, drawing involves much more research and thinking or trial and error time than drawing time, so unless it's very repetitive hardware as long as it's fairly modern is not too much of an issue. Parametrics and customisations are generally much more help than an outstanding machine.Unless software is specifically written for dual core I don't believe there is an advantage.I have never known a graphics card to make any difference to the "speed" of CAD software, a 3D program perhaps but you wouldn't be choosing an Acad work-alike if you were working much in 3D.

i agree with John, the standard ~1000$ laptop from Dell or HP works fine. a high end graphics card with 512 mb VRAM will not significantly improve CAD performance... laptops almost always have crappy graphics cards... I would by a computer with an average processor, 2 gb RAM and a ordinary graphics card.steve
