Mview Problem

I am trying to create a vport using MVIEW command in version 9, using the Polygonal option or the other options, and I am always getting a zero width or height vport. After a while I get the message "degenerated geometry". Any hint?

    i was able to create vport with no problems using MVIEW. But if i manually set the height and width to zero then I got an error message and an endless loop of pressing OK.
