viewport overflow

First off, is there no way to attach an image to one of these threads ?cause my screen capture would show what I am talking about better tha nI can describe it.I have the trial version downloaded. v9 xp dell precision 470 2gig ram, nvidia w/ 24" flatscreen In paperspace I have 2 viewports (plan/profile) objects that are in model space, but outside the limits of my viewport, show up in paperspace. In the viewport the yappear as normal. Outside the viewport they appear as vague dotted lines. any explanation? can I email a screen capture to show what I am talking about?secondly, why does it take 3 seconds or so after I freeze a layer for it to freeze? performance in general seems slow. any suggestions?if autodesk is dumping the land platform I am looking for an alternative (after 15 years on autodesk). Civil 3d is not for me.

I've also noticed artifacts outside the viewport windows on V9... They dissappear when the screen is manually regenerated using RE Steve

Hello Peter,if you want the Bricscad developers to investigate this issue then please file a support request (indeed, we don't mind to provide support even if you're not yet a customer). In fact we would be glad to have a chance to investigate this issue, so it would be great if you (or Steve) could provide us with such drawing.It is possible to attach sample files to support requests. much appreciated because we are taking a month to evaluate the usage of autocad LT on our Land Development Desktop developed drawings. Then we will get a couple of users to try briscad. as far as I've seen Briscad is easier so far, COGO point objects show up in Briscad, ALIGN works etc.Thanks for your offer, I will contact support.Pete

regen did nothing to correct the modelspace imposters problem.also, when I do a layfrz, it takes 3 seconds or so before the layers objects disappear. why is this? has anyone else experienced this?I really want some answers to these problems. we are evaluating this product in an attempt to move away from autocad.Thanks,Peter Gilbert

Thanks for posting a support request: the problem with the dotted lines is fixed in V9.1.7, released earlier today. LAYFRZ in paperspace indeed takes longer than freezing the same layer in modelspace, we will investigate if this can't be improved.
