arcview or arcmap images

I have Bricscad v.7. Arcview and Arcmap files have an extension .apr, which is not supported by version 7. At least the documentation doesn't list it as an option. Does anybody have a workaround for getting a .apr file into a Bricscad drawing?

    ArcView and ArcMap by ESRI are very different from CAD programs. Iinitially data could only be exchanged throught the DXF format.I don't know of any program able opening the apr files of ArcView, but some CAD programs are able to read and wite SHAPE files. Bricscad cannot and I don't think it is scheduled. You should know that the shape file format is already considered outdated technology by ESRI, but it still is widely used...There is a free tool (rather old, but it does the job) of converting SHAPE files into DXF "DXFAuthor".You can get it here: http://www.mass.gov/mgis/dxf.htmThere might be better tools out there, I haven't looked for them as I find this one satisfactory for the few instances that I have a need for it.
