Current working directory
Hello all -I have been on AutoCAD for the past 17 years and my company is looking at going to Bricscad so I am in the process of testing it out to make sure all of our custom programs work, etc. Everything is going smoothly so far except for the .VBS script I use to get into Bricscad. I need to start in a certain library and job number. (For example: Library Kevin and Job Number 111222.) We use file structures for each job number with job related numbered files in each one. A lot of our programs look for this info in the 'current working directory', extract it with an .ARX and execute as required. If it is not in the correct directory, it all crashes. I may be in and out of 2 or 3 different jobs a day. I have found that Bricscad seems to open in the last directory in which I have opened a drawing. I am having to browse to the directory I need, open a drawing, close Bricscad and then get back in so my system recognizes it as the current working directory. In AutoCAD there was a command 'rememberfolders' that I could turn off and that let my .VBS work great. That doesn't seem to have any effect and I can't find anything in Bricscad that will let me enter the program as I need. Now that I have rambled on... Is there a fix to this that I haven't stumbled across yet? Thanks
