Loading Partial CUI Files

Whenever I try to "apply" a load of a partial cui file, I get this error:"An unexpected error occured. The application became unstable. It is recommended to save your work to a temporary file and restart the application."Has anyone come across this before, or have any clue as to what may cause this error.

  • I don't believe I have had that and it works ok right now, but I use an .mnu file and load that when I make changes to it. The .cui is re-created from the .mnu each time the .mnu is loaded. Perhaps your .cui is corrupted somehow and that might fix it if the .mnu is available?

  • No, I've not had a problem with mine... It was created with Bricscad v8 and carried forward. Includes custom menu and toolbar.

  • Could you please file a support request and attach an example .cui file that generates this error ? We would be glad to investigate and fix the problem.

  • Sorry it has taken so long for me to get back on this, I found out the problem...The customization files had been located on part of the network, that users (including me it would seem) had not been given Read/Write access to. So anytime I tried to apply any changes to those files, I was denied by the network. Sorry for not checking this out before I submitted the post.
