I found the solution to run the V10.4.9-1 .deb package in Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit!

I should have payed attention to what Risto Saarikko said. What is needed is the "ia32-libs" 32-bit compatibility package for 64-bit architecture. It was already installed in my Ubuntu 9.10 64-bit partition, maybe that's why it used to work. Look for it in Synaptic, or in the terminal type

sudo apt-get install ia32-libs (or replace apt-get with aptitude if that's what you use, I've read you shouldn't mix both commands)

The only thing, I get an error message at start: " Cannot set locale to 'en_US' " (my system locale is fr_CA). But I close it and it does not prevent Bricscad from running.

Very happy to finally be able to run Bricscad again.

Good morning at all,

The product steel grow very good, my compliments.

I have a problem with the selection of the object, every time I select a line or a block or a part of drawing for copy move or other command the selected part disappear, and so began very hard continue in the work. Is that a bug or have I to change any settings?

Thanks for the license key. I'm trusting that all of the output functionality will be included in the commercial release.

I've found most everything is working for my own production processes with the latest beta.

But there's one big problem - namely the inability to generate plots with plot styles. The plot output dialog recognizes my .ctb files, but I can't get output that reflects it. I also can't get large format output - for my use PDF format. I've tried a handful of PDF printers, including the CUPS-PDF printer. But I get color output, with A4 sheet size.

I'm currently having to boot into windows and use AutoCAD for generating output.

If I've missed something, and that functionality is fully in place, but I'm not correctly configured, I'd love to learn how to make it work.

Hello,

for a absolute LINUX-newbie like me it was possible to install Bricscad on UBUNTU 10.04. It looks great, complimets to the Brisys team!

But one question. When I call the add/edit object data function the window is poor. Is it a problem of beta state?

Note for developers...

If i have a dwg file with 2 or 3 raster image attached, the graphic area is very slow. In win, is a little bit faster.

The trial period on the current Beta version says it expires in a couple of days and there is no for-sale version in the E-store.

It would be nice to know a day or two in advance what is intended.

Have the same problem, can't print with A3 or A2 format. I think that plot still needs work.
