     I have tested bricscad v11-v12 different versions with no problems on opensuse 11.3-12.1
    only with v12 have a missed depedency with libGLEW.so.1.5, but when I install libGLEW.so.1.5 32bit all things going well
    what video card and drivers you have?

     never have such card, sorry Ihave only intel,  radeon and nvidia video cards
