BricsCAD 12.2.16 OpenSUSE 12.2 x86_64

Hello

Has anyone BricsCAD 12.2.16 on OpenSUSE 12.2 x86_64 working properly?

I had the issues listed here
http://www.bricscad.com/common/support/forumthread.jsp?id=19002
and followed the workaround. BricsCAD does not crash anymore.

However, when I open a drawing and move the mouse I have terrible screen flickering.
Its not workable really.

Any suggestions?

Cheers
Norbert

  • If not intel graphics, try the proprietary driver (nvidia or ATI).

I've a fresh install of 12.2 on a laptop with nvidia graphics, but haven't installed bricscad yet. Will do and report back, probably tomorrow.
  • My system uses ATI.
No matter what I do, BricsCAD 12.2.16 is not workable on OpenSUSE 12.2_64 machine. At least on my end.

Most staggering, there is no word or update from BricsCAD.
    Terrible customer support really.

  • @Norbert:
    Sorry about the late report.
BCad 12.2.16 works fine in the laptop (netbook, actually) I mentioned, with ATI graphics *and* the proprietary driver running openSUSE 12.1 (not 12.2) 64 bit and KDE 4.9.
I guess you'd have terrible performance with the opensource drivers, however.
