Ubuntu 14.04 need help installing BricsCAD

I've been trying to install both BricsCAD version v13 and v15 on my Toshiba Chromebook with Linux Ubuntu 14.04 (KDE) on it but i cant get bricsCAD to start.

sudo gdebi BricsCAD-V13.2.17-1-en_US-i386.deb

is the command i try, it installs just fine and asks me to install the software package, but when i try to launch it all i get is the BricsCAD loading icon and nothing else. Any solutions?

(ps: I am fairly new to Linux)

Thanks in advance,

Milton

  •  I have been trying installing it for hours... just now i realized i dont have 32bit as i thought but 64bit linux... this topic can be closed and deleted as it works flawlessly at the moment.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.
  •  Hi Milton - I can't answer the question because I don't use Ubuntu, but as Ubuntu is a supported version of Linux, Bricscad themselves should help you with this. If you have not, I recommend you ask them for help by way of an official "Support Request." - Good luck, Linux is great.
  •  Just saw your update. Glad you got it working.
