Divide solid made of two non-intersecting ones

Hello,
I have one solid which has been created unifying two solitaire solids (two boxes with no intersection) - see attachment.
How do I separate them into original ones - to give back two independent boxes?
Command SLICE doesn't help here - it keeps the original solid unchanged.
TIA.
Best regards,
Lukas (BCad v18.1.08)

Usse the solids / separate options of the solidedit command. The tool is available on the 3D Solid Editing toolbar.

u can use the slice command. just slice on one edge of one of the boxes.
but at all it is a strange behavior,
    1. it should work to use slice to separate the 2 boxes also if the cutting plane is between the2 boxes.
    2. if I put the sliceplane on the edge of the first (left box) the slice command works fine.
    3. if I put the sliceplane on the edge of the 2nd (right box) then the slice command its not working but the left box will be duplicated,
and the two boxes stil exists????
