Ucs not turning with view

Hello,

I myself am not having the problem, but my boss is.

every time i rotate the view he has to type ucs/view/ to be able to work in measure stuff in his current view.

in my pc this happens automatically.

Does anyone know the parameter for this?

THX!

P.S.: Sorry for bad english :)

  • I was going to suggest UCSFOLLOW, but after a test, it doesn't appear that UCSFOLLOW does in BricsCAD what it does in the other CAD.

  • If I recall correctly, such a defect has recently been fixed in our internal code ... not yet published.

It worked so far (v18-v19) for me and was my default setting of choice.
Unfortunately it has some other culprits so I had to deactivate it.

It changes UCS whenever you change to an orthogonal View.
But it will not reset when you go to an Isometric or Perspective.
So when using QUICKDRAW (that BIM Wall+Slab Combo), you will
easily end up drawing your Quick Draw stuff rotated to YZ or XZ Plane,
    instead of desired Layer Plane.
Which requires manual resetting UCS or you get used to always
activate Top View after any Side View before again switching to
    Iso/Perspective View.

Im pretty sure its the UCS orthographic check box under user coordinate system in settings.

  • For clarity:
UCSFOLLOW: restores the plan view of the current UCS (rotates the view when the coordinate system changes)
UCSORTHO: sets the UCS to the current view if it is an orthogonal view in the WCS (top, bottom, front, back, left or right)

  • Uh, sorry, yes,
    I meant UCSORTHO ...

  • thx all for the help, i forgot about this tread, cause it was fixed in a later update.

    thx!
